There are two courts available for Raquetball or Wally Ball. It is best to call and reserve a court, but walk-ins are welcome. No street shoes are allowed on the blue floor past the door. Minors (14-16) wishing to utilize the exercise room must attend an orientation that is held monthly.

The Nikiski Pool is a recreational pool heated to approximately 84 degrees. It features a 136' water slide, spa, rain umbrella, diving area and depths ranging from 1' to 11'-10".

The pool is handicap accessible with a zero depth entry, and access to a pool chair lift that provides entry to the pool and spa. Surrounded by glass the pool offers excellent views of the surrounding terrain and wildlife.

Swimming Lessons, Lifeguard Classes and Aquatic Classes are offered throughout the year. Contact us for a current schedule or for more information.

Children under 10 years of age are required to be closely supervised & accompanied in the water by a person at least 16 years of age.

Swimming Pool and Waterslide Rentals are available before and after closing hours. Minimum rate is $125/hr for the pool, and $75/hr for the waterslide.

Located centrally between the Nikiski Pool and the Nikiski Community Recreation Center, the community playground is uniquely designed with emphasis on wildlife and nature, industry, and the local flare of our wonderful community.

The North Peninsula Recreation Service Area is located north of Kenai at mile 23.4 of the Kenai Spur Highway, on the way to Captain Cook State Park.

The Nikiski Pool is a heated recreational pool that features a 136 foot water slide, zero depth entry kids play area with a rain umbrella, a diving area with diving board, hot tub, fitness room, two racketball courts and a birthday party room.  The facility is handicap accessible and includes a chair lift that allows access to the pool and the hot tub.  Open year round the pool offers classes, events, lap swimming, open swim, birthday parties, and rental opportunities.  Pool memberships and fitness memberships are available.

The Nikiski Community Recreation Center is the hub for recreational activities and community events hosted by the North Peninsula Recreation Service Area.  The facility houses a gymnasium, banquet room, multiple classrooms, kitchen, library, teen center, fitness room, and a full swing golf simulator.  There are year round opportunities for self guided recreational activities as well as programs and class that serve people of all ages and activity levels.  The gymnasium, banquet room, and classrooms are available to rent for birthday parties, corporate training, family reunions, weddings, and large gatherings.

Jason Peterson Memorial Ice Rink

The Jason Peterson Memorial Ice Rink is a weather protected rink with natural ice.  Weather permitting, the ice is usually available December through March.  During the winter months the rink is home to the Nikiski Youth Hockey Association and we also provide times for public skating.  No skates, no problem! We have skates available for rent. Late spring through early fall the rink becomes a multi-purpose space that can accommodate roller hockey, special events, summer camp, sports camp, and a variety of other activities.
