Site Location
This site is located in the Cooper Landing area at approximately Mile Post 2.5 on the south side of Snug Harbor Road. Signs will be posted on site to identify the area of disposal. This Site Plan will also offer guidance for the location of site facilities.
Permits
Prior to using the Stump Dump site for large quantity disposal, a person must obtain a permit. A permit is not needed for small quantity disposal (maximum: 1 pick-up load per day).
Fees
There is currently no charge for this permit.
Hours of Operation
This site shall be opened in the spring and closed in late fall. The site will be gated and closed except during times of permitted use. Permit holders are required to close the gate when leaving the site.
Site Management
The “Stump Dump” is administered by the KPB Land Management Division. The division will issue all permits for the disposal of such material. The borough will monitor disposal activities and schedule to have the disposal material burned on site on an as-needed basis.

Prohibited materials should be properly disposed of at a Solid Waste Department facility. A waste transfer facility is located in the Cooper Landing area at approximately Mile Post 44 of the Sterling Highway, which accepts non-hazardous solid waste.
